Megastructure Corridor

When it comes to introducing the Megastructure, I believe this is the place to begin.

The Japanese characters, from top to bottom, mean Megastructure.

超 – “hyper”

構造 – “structure”

体 – a suffix denoting physical entity (for instance, as opposed to a sentence structure)

Together, it is pronounced chou-kouzoutai.

Vault

It may not be a vault – it may be a kind of airlock, or a standard door between different segregations of the Megastructure.
